Samsung galaxy Unpacked july 10, 2024 India

Samsung has sent out invitations for a Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris, and we’re excited to be there. It’s interesting how the company changes the location for their foldable phone events. The Galaxy S events have been in California for the past few years. During the lockdown, foldable events were virtual. Last year, they took place in South Korea, and now it’s happening in Paris.

Samsung has sponsored the Olympics for a long time, and since the Olympics are in Paris this year, it makes sense. The company might even launch a new ring product.

Galaxy Ring Unveiling Details :

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Ring at the upcoming Unpacked event. The Ring was first teased in January with no details, but more information was shared at MWC. It will come in nine sizes, from 5 to 13, and three colors: black, silver, and gold. The heaviest version weighs just 2.9 grams, less than half the weight of the Ore Ring. The battery size varies with the ring size, according to FCC documents.

The Galaxy Ring will introduce a new health system called Vitality Score, providing personalized health insights. This feature might also come to the Galaxy Watch, though it’s unclear if it will support older models. The Ring will only work with Android devices, possibly limited to Galaxy devices. Pricing is expected to be $300 or $350 in the US, similar to the Ore Ring, but without a subscription requirement.

Galaxy Watch Ultra Rumors :

Other products expected at Galaxy Unpacked include the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 3. The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a special connection with its band, similar to the Apple Watch. This could complicate third-party band adoption. The watch has a round display within a squarish enclosure and orange accents like the Apple Watch Ultra but will offer more color options and likely use titanium.

There will be 3 colors: silver, natural titanium, and black. Rumors say it will have new sensors to check temperature and maybe even blood sugar without pricking your skin. This might need FDA approval.

Inside, it could have 32 gigs of storage and a super bright display that reaches 3000 nits. It should be tough with an IP68 rating and could run on a powerful 3nm Exynos W1000 chip for fast performance. It will likely include Samsung’s One UI for Wear OS 5, which has worked well before.

Reports also say the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra might have a large 578 mAh battery and better energy efficiency from the new chip, possibly improving battery life. We’ll know more when we get units.

The standard Galaxy Watch 7 sticks to Samsung’s usual design. The olive green version looks nice with small colorful accents on the watch band. It will feature the same 3nm chipset, promising better performance and smoother operation. While exact battery life isn’t specified, it is expected to last days on a single charge. FCC certification suggests faster 15W charging, up from the current model’s 10W.

Health monitoring is enhanced with an advanced heart rate monitor, blood oxygen detection, stress analysis, sleep quality analysis, and various workout modes using Samsung’s BioActive Sensor 2. A notable addition is an AI companion to improve sleep and exercise monitoring and communication through features like Galaxy AI for smart replies.

Rumors also suggest both Galaxy Watch models may detect sleep apnea using software enhancements rather than new hardware sensors, showing Samsung’s focus on advanced software integration.

Galaxy Buds 3 Design Changes :

For those wondering about the Buds, Blast also shared images of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Both models now have a stem design, which is very different from previous versions and looks a lot like another brand’s design. They are more angular than Apple’s AirPods but still look similar, especially the glossy white Galaxy Buds 3.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro stand out with their dark gray finish and transparent case lid but have the same stem design. We’ll have to wait for Samsung to explain the change. I hope they include stem controls because the current ones are not great for running. This might also improve voice calls and interactions with AI assistants since the microphones will be closer to your mouth.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 Updates :

Now, about the phones, be sure to check out our detailed video on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. From what we’ve heard, the design of the Z Flip 6 hasn’t changed much, except for a new paint job, especially around the camera modules. Most improvements are things you might not notice right away but will appreciate. For example, it will have thicker ultra-thin glass, which means fewer creases and better durability. The hinge is expected to stay the same, so the phone might be a bit thicker.

For specs, it’s said that North America will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, at least 8GB of RAM, and starting with 256GB of storage. Other regions might get the Exynos 2400, similar to the base S24s, though this is just a rumor for now. There have been requests for bigger batteries and more storage options, but details on these upgrades are limited. Charging speeds might stay the same due to size limits.

One big change could be a better primary camera with a 50MP module that might allow for a 2x telephoto zoom. Sadly, there’s no news on improvements to the ultra-wide camera. The phone might come in new colors like light blue, light green, silver, yellow, white, peach, and crafted black.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Updates :

The next Galaxy Fold might not have big changes, but small improvements. The outer screen’s aspect ratio could be adjusted to make it better for users, though the design will stay mostly the same. Even with better battery technology, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may still be one of the thickest foldable phones.

Samsung plans to make the display brighter than the OnePlus Open. They are also working on a new hinge mechanism. The Z Fold 6 will have a three-part hinge for better durability and a slimmer look. Inside, it will use parts similar to the S24 Ultra, like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a slightly bigger battery.

There are rumors about a high-end version called Q68 with a premium build and a cheaper variant starting at $800, though this is uncertain. The cameras are expected to stay the same with a 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x telephoto lens.

The Z Fold 6 will come with Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1, which focuses on foldable-specific features and might integrate with Samsung’s Galaxy AI platform. These updates have already been seen in the Z Fold 5 after the S24 launched.

In conclusion, this Galaxy Unpacked event seems focused on wearables. There might be a new Galaxy Watch Ultra and talk about a Galaxy Ring. Samsung appears to be innovating in this area but staying cautious with flip and fold phones. This makes sense since they’re preparing for a new design era, likely not until next year.
