The big news you’ve been waiting for is finally here! The official announcement for Dhoom 4 is expected soon. This means the biggest festival of Indian cinema will begin.
Dhoom first released on August 27, 2004, and became one of Bollywood’s iconic movies. The character played by John Abraham was so memorable that people loved the villain more than the hero. After Dhoom, we saw Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3, each breaking box office records. However, it’s been 11 long years without any news about the next installment.
Now, on August 27, 2024, exactly 20 years after the first movie, the Dhoom franchise will be rebooted. A reboot means this new part won’t be connected to the old movies. It will be a fresh start. We might get a small announcement video on that date with a high chance of it being true.
Recently, I heard some exciting inside news. YRF (Yash Raj Films) doesn’t want to rely only on their Spy Universe. They plan to experiment with different movies and attract audiences to theaters. While the Spy Universe continues in the background, they have other films lined up too.
For example, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s film Alpa will release soon, followed by War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. YRF is also working on a new movie in the Mardaani series with Rani Mukerji returning as a special cop against a new villain.
But here’s the most thrilling news: YRF is planning to reboot the Dhoom series with a new generation of actors. They are considering Ranbir Kapoor as the main villain in Dhoom 4. Ranbir has become a favorite after his performance in Animal. His acting skills make him fit for both hero and villain roles.
The challenge now is to find someone who can match his talent as a co-star. Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are strong contenders due to their impressive performances in past films.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Dhoom 4 Casting Buzz: Vicky vs. Ranveer, Akshay vs. Ranveer, and South Superstars in the Mix
Vicky vs. Ranveer in one frame is a lot of talent together. Bollywood has probably never seen something like this. Some sources are even mentioning Akshay Kumar’s name. Imagine a senior vs. junior match with Ranveer and Akshay Kumar.
Akshay is willing, or maybe the police will be involved. Another idea floating around in the minds of the filmmakers is money, meaning pan-India appeal. This means one character should be from Bollywood and another from the South, someone who has already proven themselves in the pan-India game.
For example, Prabhas is a big name from the South, someone who has already made a mark with his movies. His films have done great at the box office. Another name being considered is Ram Charan, who has won fans across East, West, North, and South India. If you want to take it to the max level, Allu Arjun’s name also comes up because he has proven himself with movies like Pushpa.
And if you want to spend money like water, why not consider Yash, the CEO of Indian Cinema? His role as Rocky is iconic for India.
Before choosing actors, remember that the director plays a huge role in finalizing the cast. From Bollywood, two names are most talked about: Siddharth Anand and Ayan Mukerji. Both know how to handle big-budget movies with multiple stars.
But YRF (Yash Raj Films) should also consider Atlee or Prashanth Neel, who are top directors from the South. And if you want to take it global, why not S.S. Rajamouli? With him on board, it will become an international film without a doubt.
There are many possibilities and theories. I think the filmmakers won’t hold back and will aim for a big casting event no matter what!
