SJ Suryah is in an important role in Dhanush’s new movie ‘Raayan‘. He praised Dhanush a lot for his directing skills in the film.
Actor and filmmaker SJ Suryah celebrated his 56th birthday last Saturday. He has several films coming up, including ‘Raayan’, directed by Dhanush. Suryah recently praised Dhanush’s writing and directing abilities, saying they are much better than his own acting skills.
Suryah heaped praise on Dhanush’s storytelling abilities and spoke about how the star managed to make an intense action drama mixed with a lot of emotional moments. “Can you manage to include all the high points of the Ramayana and Mahabharata in a single movie? It’s very tough, but as a screenplay writer, he (Dhanush) has done it,” claimed Suryah.
He also mentioned that despite Dhanush being the main actor in the movie, he ensures that every actor gets fair screen time and can showcase their talents through their characters. SJ Suryah also said, “Dhanush is deeply involved in every part of making the film, from sets and lighting to costumes and hairstyles.”
Comparing his role in ‘Raayan’ to the Hollywood film ‘Wolf of Wall Street’, SJ Suryah described himself as the ‘Wolf of Royapuram’. He explained that his character doesn’t confront enemies directly but defeats them using clever tactics. He praised Dhanush for creating a story with complex relationships between siblings and many characters, set in a gritty environment. SJ Suryah also highlighted Dhanush’s ability to bring out top-notch performances from the cast.
Dhanush’s upcoming film ‘Raayan’ marks his second directorial venture after ‘Pa Pandi’. It’s also his 50th film in a celebrated career. Scheduled for release on July 26, ‘Raayan’ is an action-packed story about a man from North Chennai seeking revenge against those who harmed his family. The movie features notable roles played by Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and Aparna Balamurali.
Meanwhile, SJ Suryah has several exciting films lined up. He will appear in ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ alongside Nani, ‘Game Changer’ with Ram Charan, and ‘Love Insurance Corporation’ featuring Pradeep Ranganathan from ‘Love Today’ and Krithi Shetty.
