Mango dessert cups originally from hong kong and now a days it is quite famous in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Macau and china. So basically it doesn’t matter where it belongs to unless it tastes good. So, let’s focus on today’s recipe and it’s step wise procedure.

Mango dessert cups recipe: Ingredients
  • 200g mango chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch/cornflour
  • 300ml (1 1/4 cup) milk
  • 100g vanilla cake or muffins (loaf cake, pound cake)
  • 200ml (1 cup) whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100g finely chopped mango
  • mango cubes

Procedure
  • In a cup take 200g chopped mango + 2 tbsp sugar and blend until it smoothens
    • If you don’t add sugar it may curdle the milk we are going to add it to
    • You can use store bought canned mango puree instead
  • After it smoothen make sure to reserve 50g (1/4 cup)in another cup, and let 150g(3/4 cup) remain in the bowl
  • Take a saucepan and put 2 tbsp sugar + 4 tbsp cornstarch/cornflour + 300ml ((1 1/4) milk
    • Add a little first, mix well, making sure no lumps left, Add remaining milk and keep mixing
  • Add the mango puree 150g(3/4 cup)
  • Mix well
  • On medium heat
  • Keep mixing continuously until it thickens (It will take about 5 mins)
  • It will start to thickens until it reaches boiling point
  • Pour it in the cups while it still hot (if you are going through the same measurement you take 3 cups)
  • Let it cool down completely
  • While it’s cooling down
  • You take 100g vanilla cake (you can also use loaf cake/pound cake)
  • Crumble it with hands
  • Keep it aside
  • Take 200ml (1 cup) whipping cream + put 2 tbsp sugar in cream
  • Whisk until it stiff peaks form
  • After it reaches to stiff peaks form add Reserved mango puree (1/4 cup)
  • Gently mix
  • After finish mixing out this in a piping bag and set aside
  • Now put crumbled cake in those 3 cup which were left to cool down
  • Even out the crumbled cake of each cup using a spoon
  • Now put finely chopped mango above crumbled cake in cups
  • Now put mango cream above chopped mango using piping bag
  • At last put mango cubes in top of each cup for decoration
  • You can serve it after refrigerator for 1 hr
  • You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
