Hyundai Venue,Hyundai is preparing to launch several new models, such as a crossover based on the Bayon and an electric vehicle based on the Inster.
Hyundai in India is gearing up for rapid growth with big investments and new models. They’re planning to launch an all-new crossover based on the Bayon and an electric vehicle based on the Inster. Alongside these, Hyundai will update its popular models in India, starting with the next-generation Venue expected by late 2025. The new Grand i10 Nios will follow by late 2027.
Next-gen Hyundai Venue due by late 2025
The Venue was introduced in our market in 2019 and got a facelift in June 2022. The next-generation Venue, expected by late 2025, will be the first model made at Hyundai’s new Talegaon factory, acquired from General Motors in 2023. Internally known as the QU2i, production starts in October 2025.
The new Venue will likely keep the current platform and engines but will sport a completely redesigned exterior, possibly influenced by newer Hyundai SUVs like the Creta and upcoming Alcazar. It’s expected to be more feature-rich, and Hyundai plans to continue offering diesel options in this compact segment.
Next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 Nios due by late 2027
The next-generation Grand i10 Nios, known internally as the Ai4, is slated to arrive by late 2027. The current model was launched in 2019 and updated in 2023. Until the new version arrives, Hyundai will make small updates to keep it competitive in the declining hatchback market.
Despite a drop in sales, Hyundai remains committed to the segment to rival popular cars like the Swift, which briefly outsold SUVs in May 2024. After the Grand i10 Nios, expect updates for the Aura and Exter, which share its platform.
Hyundai is also considering electric versions of the Grand i10 Nios and Venue, though these plans are still in early stages. Instead, their focus in India will be on mass-market electric vehicles, starting with the Inster-based EV expected by late 2026.
