Rashami Desai shines in reality shows, movies, and serials, fitting perfectly into any role she plays. She’s currently working on four to five films. Even though her career is going strong, she has faced many personal challenges.
Rashami Desai (₹3.5 crore debt)
Rashami Desai married serial actor Nandish in 2011, but they divorced in 2014, with the divorce finalized in 2016. She recently talked about the difficulties she faced during that time in a podcast. Rashami said, “I had just bought a house, and I had a debt of ₹2.5 crore. Including other loans, my total debt was about ₹3.5 crore. But I’m confident and determined to pay it off.”
Her family distanced themselves from her, and the show she was part of got canceled. For four or five days, she lived on the road and slept in her car. Her belongings were at her manager’s house. She had to eat cheap meals costing ₹20, and after her divorce, her friends also seemed to treat her differently, believing all her decisions were wrong.
She was under a lot of stress but managed to slowly pay off her debt without any help. During that time, she was constantly stressed, couldn’t sleep properly, and sometimes felt like she was going to collapse. However, the people on set supported her, and doing yoga helped her cope with the stress.
She has participated in several reality shows, including Jara Nachke Dikha 2, Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6, and Nach Baliye 7. She also competed in the 15th season of Bigg Boss and made it to the top 5 contestants.
This year, she is acting in movies such as Mission Laila (Hindi), Hisab Barabar (Hindi), Mam Tane Nai Sami (Gujarati), Chambe Di Booti (Punjabi), and Evar – Blessing of God (Hindi).
