Rick Ross faced the wrath of Drake ‘goons’ in Canada for playing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us”. Following his performance at the music fest in Vancouver, British Columbia, Ross was reportedly sucker-punched, according to a video shared on social media.
According to a video posted by DJ Akademiks on his Twitter/X account, individuals who appear to be Ross and his security team were attacked by several men. The video shows security personnel being punched repeatedly in the face and body, with some hitting the ground.
On Sunday (June 30), Rick Ross was one of the headliners at the Canadian music showcase where he performed with Waka Flocka Flame, S!ck!ck and Merkules.
After the show, Rozay had some trouble. In a video of what happened, Ross and his friends were moving through a crowd while Kendrick Lamar’s diss track towards Drake, “Not Like Us,” played. There was tension between Ross and a group of people around his crew.
They argued back and forth until a man with a mohawk reached over and punched Ross, knocking his drink out of his hand. A fight broke out. One of Ross’ security guards got separated and was attacked by several people.
“You’re in our city! What’s up?” one of the attackers shouted.
Things calmed down briefly but flared up again when another person tried to attack Ross, only to be stopped, which started another brawl. Eventually, one of Ross’ critics was knocked out, and the people with him rushed to get him medical help.
