Titanic and Lord of the Rings actor dies:
The actor best known for his roles in Titanic and the Lord of the Rings, has died, his agent Lou Coulson told BBC news that the actor died in the early hours of Sunday mornings. His family is expected to release a statement imminently.
Between Titanic (1997)and The Lord of the rings: The Return of the King (2003) , Hill was the only actor in history to have appeared in more than one film that won 11 or more Oscars.
He had been set to appear at Liverpool Conic Con this week. The event issued a statement on Twitter/X, saying: “We’re heartbroken to hear the news of Bernard Hill’s passing. A great loss. Thinking of his family at this very sad time, and wishing them a lot of strength,”.
Bernard Hill’ Early Life:
Born December 17, 1944, the Manchester, UK- born actor was raised in a family of miners, yet found his way to drama school and the stage. Hill attended Xaverian College, and then Manchester Polytechnique School of Drama at the same time as Richard Griffiths. He graduated with a diploma in theatre in 1970. The actor was also known for his iconic role as Yosser Hughes in Alan Bleasdale’s seminal British drama Boys from Blackstuff.
He expressed surprise that he had become a successful actor, telling Oxford University’s student paper: “From my social life, my peers, my family, there was no indication that this is where I should go.”
