SUPERMAN :
Superman is returning. James Gunn the director of this movie, shared the first look of Superman.Superman is an upcoming American superhero film based on DC Comics featuring the character of the same name. Produced by DC Studios and to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it will be the first film in the DC Universe (DCU) and a reboot of the Superman film series.
The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, María Gabriela de Faría, Sara Sampaio, Skyler Gisondo, Nicholas Hoult, Terence Rosemore, Wendell Pierce, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell. In the film, Superman’s journey to reconcile his alien heritage with his human family is explored.
Superman will be released theatrically in the United States on July 11, 2025. It will be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
BRAHMASTRA 2 :
The Brahmastra sequel, Brahmastra Part 2, is confirmed and will be even bigger than the first.Director Ayan Mukerji announced plans for Brahmastra Part 2 on Instagram, with a release date planned for December 2026.Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan are confirmed to return star in Brahmastra Part 2, as Shiva and Dev, respectively.
Since Part 1 was part of the title of the first film, it was always assumed there would be a second. Director Ayan Mukerji confirmed that Brahmastra Part 2 was in production when he posted on Instagram in April 2023, outlining his plan for the franchise and confirming that a second film would arrive in December 2026.
So far, only two actors have been confirmed for Brahmastra Part 2: Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. Kapoor is returning as the lead character Shiva, a man who possesses the astra (a supernatural power in Hindu mythology and the word from which the universe title comes) of fire. Kapoor is a prolific Bollywood actor who has starred in major films like Animal as Ranvijay Singh/Aziz Haque and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar as Mickey.
The story for Brahmastra Part 2 has not been announced yet but the first film ended on a cliffhanger that will most likely be the focus of the sequel. At the end of the first movie, Shiva gains control of the titular Brahmastra, but in the process, his legendary and mystically powerful father, Dev, is released from imprisonment in a stone statue.
Brahmastra Part 2 is sure to see Shiva facing off against the father who abandoned him to keep Dev from using the Brahmastra power to take over the world.
Ayan Mukerji announced in April 2023 that he would be working on Brahmastra Part 3 alongside Brahmastra Part 2. So, whatever happens in the second film will likely be to set up the final act of the trilogy.
BORDER 2 :
Border 2 release: Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Border 2’, a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster film with the same name, is set release on in January 2026.Border 2 is expected to be the biggest war film in India. Along with Sunny Deol, Ayushmann Khurrana is also expected to play one of the lead roles in the film. The film will be directed by Anurag Singh who helmed the 2019 film Kesari starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead.
The recent report also says that, as per the source, ‘Border 2’ is “going to be the biggest war film of India”.
“Border 2 has been in the writing stage for over a year now and the team has cracked a script that stands to the expectations that people would have from a sequel to a mammoth all-time blockbuster like Border. Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana are very excited to embark on this journey by the end of this year,” the source added.
The sequel to ‘Border’ will be bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film, which is releasing 29 years after the first part, will be directed by Anurag Singh.
‘Border’, written, produced and directed by JP Dutta, is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The war film is based on the events of the Battle of Longewala. The ensemble cast includes Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt, Sudesh Berry, Puneet Issar, and Sharbani Mukherjee among others.
Border 2 is targeting to hit the big screen on Friday, January 23, 2026, leading to the Republic Day holiday on Monday, January 26, 2026.
